What is tai chi and qi gong?

Tai chi is an internal Chinese martial art practiced for both its defense training and its health benefits. It has been part of the Chinese martial arts culture since the 16th century. Sometimes described as meditation in motion, tai chi promotes serenity through gentle movements, connecting the mind and body with spirit.

Oi gong is an ancient system of coordinated body-postures, movement, breathing exercises and meditation techniques which has been practiced for centuries for health and spirituality. It was upon the principles of qi gong that tai chi was developed.
